Our first week online is complete! Aside from the usual Maths, English and Science, we’ve seen a myriad of wonderful activities such as Get Moving with Deej, Food and Cookery, our 4D options and Art, all of which have been enthusiastically engaged with. Our expectations of both staff and pupils have been exceeded and although it is early days we are sure this will get even better with time and when all this is done, our school will be a better place for it. At GRK we have been making sure we prepare pupils and families for home learning. We know this is a very uncertain time but by being fully prepared we hope it alleviates some of the anxiety that goes with it. It means if pupils are having to self isolate or we end up having to close the school pupils have access to work packs including hard copies of Maths, English and Science books, Google classrooms for all subject areas and Google hangouts to allow for virtual learning. We have been testing our online platform this morning as our Circle Time was delivered across various classrooms and to pupils and staff who are in isolation at home, via Google Hangouts Meet.
