Renovations at The Swan pub in Clewer are well underway, thanks to the ongoing efforts and hard work from builders and volunteers, so much so that the rooms upstairs have recently played a part as a film set! Clewer resident and successful actor-turned-producer, Ailish Castillo transformed the rooms into an artist's abode in 1950s Ireland to film a short film from her family's history. Our GR6 pupils were invited along to meet Ailish and hear about her life and career, as well as visit the stunningly detailed sets her art team have created in what will become the Swan’s letting space. The session was a fascinating learning experience for all involved, and really captured the essence of what we are building; a community hub for people of all backgrounds and experiences to come together and share their passions and stories.
