Spring is just about to arrive, and with it at GRK we have some new arrivals of our own! As part of their small animal lessons, some pupils have been given a small budget for two different projects. One to set up and stock a fish tank and another to set up an enclosure for Dumbo Rats. Pupils are responsible for all their husbandry, including training, (more the rats than the fish!) and ensure that staff know what to do on weekends too!
We’ve also managed to hatch some chicks from putting chicken eggs in an incubator for 21 days. The excitement grew as they days counted down until these little ones emerged. Pupils and staff alike are making sure they are well loved and looked after!
