Empowering Education in Nature's Classroom
The Green Room Project at Kingsley offers an unmissable and audacious education for KS2 - 4, set in the glorious Hampshire countryside on acres of farmland, we move beyond the traditional classroom and into the dynamic natural world. We believe in the power of kindness, curiosity, and change, providing a transformative experience that seamlessly complements mainstream education. These values not only shape our beliefs, they are the foundation of our approach. Our curriculum is deeply shaped by nature, helping pupils start a path toward a love of learning and a deeper connection to the world around them.

Our Approach
We understand that some pupils struggle with full-time mainstream education. Our project is specifically designed to address these challenges with an approach founded in our core values:
-
Kindness: ‘The Yard’ is a nurturing space, where all pupils are met with kindness. Kindness has the strength to build trust and relationships, so our pupils can feel safe enough to be brave and take risks.
-
Curiosity: Our curriculum is tailored to the natural world, allowing pupils to engage in projects with clear, practical applications. Hands-on learning ignites curiosity and challenges our pupils to connect with others and the world around, helping them to discover their own capabilities and strengths.
-
Change: The outdoor environment presents natural challenges that are instrumental in building resilience, problem-solving skills, and perseverance. Our pupils learn to adapt and make choices ready for the changes that future life will hold.
Alongside literacy and numeracy support and therapeutic interventions, an example six week project could include:
