At GRK this term we have been looking at The Blitz in Humanities, specifically Anderson Shelters. We have been looking at what Anderson Shelters are, why they were used, when they were used and how they were made. All the pupils have loved learning all about the history and details of The Blitz and we have even made our own Anderson shelter models out of cardboard, paper, tissue boxes and hessian. This has proved very popular with the pupils who have loved the physical side of this lesson and the working independently.
