Our Trustees

Peter Rawling - (Chair of Trustees) Former: Head of Sixth Form, The Windsor Boys’ School, Current: Educational Consultant PiXL

I have worked in education for 50 years as a teacher, Head of Sixth, Deputy Head and now a consultant with the PiXL partnership of schools nationwide. I have known both of the Green Room founders (and many of their staff) for many years and have had the privilege of being involved in the project from its earliest days, even pre-natally in the work that was done as Everyday Arts. From those small beginnings we now have a venture and a vison that is inspiring and influencing schools on both a national and international level and offering the prospect of a better future and brighter hope for many young people, who otherwise would have neither.

Fergus Tinto - (Trustee) HR Manager and Business Leader for the John Lewis Partnership

I have enjoyed a career long partnership with Waitrose and John Lewis as a people & business manager, latterly as a HR consultant with responsibilities across the UK that include providing meaningful employment solutions  for those have struggled with the transition from education into adulthood ( you might have seen the John Lewis Christmas ad on TV this year showing our support for the Care experience programme)

Within many of my roles I have been allowed to build relationships with the local community including providing advice to charities on how to succeed through adopting sound business practises, marketing & strategies as well as looking after their volunteers. I have had a secondment with  the CVS , Civic volunteer service Slough and Windsor, advising businesses on the benefits to their organisations of encouraging community support and more recently , appointed as a project lead on the Government led review , GABI, Gender and behavioural insight to provide advice on business best practices to promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

I have supported The Green room for many years and during this time my passion has grown in getting employers to embrace the skills their and other educational  support organisations pupils can offer going into the workplace. I hope that some of the insight I can offer will allow the Green Room foundation to flourish on top of a sound business plan and continue to showcase their remarkable  pupils for many more years.
