Our Trustees

Peter Rawling - (Chair of Trustees)
My Focus on the Board - Education
I have worked in education for 50 years as a teacher, Head of Sixth, Deputy Head and now a consultant with the PiXL partnership of schools nationwide. I have known both of the Green Room founders (and many of their staff) for many years and have had the privilege of being involved in the project from its earliest days, even pre-natally in the work that was done as Everyday Arts. From those small beginnings we now have a venture and a vison that is inspiring and influencing schools on both a national and international level and offering the prospect of a better future and brighter hope for many young people, who otherwise would have neither.

Fergus Tinto
My Focus on the Board - Organisation strategy, and Charity compliance.
I have enjoyed a career long partnership with Waitrose and John Lewis as a people & business manager, latterly as a HR consultant with responsibilities across the UK that include providing meaningful employment solutions for those have struggled with the transition from education into adulthood. Within many of my roles I have been allowed to build relationships with the local community including providing advice to charities on how to succeed through adopting sound business practises, marketing and strategies.
I have supported the Green Room for many years, and I hope that some of the insight I can offer will allow the Foundation to flourish and continue to showcase their remarkable pupils for many more years.

Verity Creedy
My Focus on the Board - Organisational culture, Staff engagement and wellbeing, and Leadership
development and effectiveness.
I am passionate about building healthy, high-performing organisations where people feel valued and supported to do their very best work. With a background in organisational psychology, development and leadership, I bring experience inculture, engagement and strategic people planning. I became a trustee because I believe schools should be places where both children and adults can thrive. Outside
of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. We especially love community and music events. I am a foodie and a Swiftie.

Darren Barcessat
My Focus on the Board - Operational and Financial efficiency.
With over 30 years’ experience leading people in financial services, I’m focused on helping individuals reach their full potential and achieve their goals, while consistently delivering a great customer experience. Having watched The Green Room grow over several years, becoming a trustee felt like the right step. I strongly believe education should be accessible to all, and that every child deserves the
chance to thrive.
Outside of work, I’m a dad of two grown up children. I enjoy walks with my wife and our dog Barney, and, in the summer, I am a very average golfer.
