Last Friday everyone went to the Windsor Horse show and enjoyed a great day out. Set in the castle grounds, there were lots of interesting stalls and displays to look around, shows to watch and experiences to try. Some pupils tried the Land Rover experience, where they were driven by a professional driver over an obstacle course, including through water and
up and down steep hills to show how a Land Rover can perform over rough terrain. It was also fascinating to see the queen’s own 1953 Land Rover Defender which she drove for 21 years! In the castle arena they watched young riders compete on shetland ponies in the Grand National and International Mounted Games - England won! It was also a good opportunity to see historic examples of horse drawn carriages in action. It was a great day out and a pleasure spending time with The Green Room pupils outside of school.
