At the end of last term we were delighted to welcome representatives from Happy Bricks and SAP to the opening of our Science lab, both of whom have made creating the lab from a storeage shed possible with very generous donations. All pupils and staff gathered outside the lab to listen to speeches from the Head of School, Joe Sparks, followed by Happy Bricks founder, Holly Tucker. Her speech ended with her selecting a few of our pupils to open gifts of brand new 'Happy Science' lab coats to match the two Happy Bricks and Happy Lab plaques we have now proudly displayed on the walls.
After the speeches, our school Vice Captain and one other pupil cut the red tape and the lab was open! Our visitors were then treated to a science demonstration by some of our pupils and were thrilled to be able to see the lab in action. We had a great afternoon and we are all so pleased that we have a functioning Science lab as the pupils have been loving their lessons, thanks once again to Happy Bricks and SAP for this fantastic opportunity!
