Systemic Therapist/Family Therapist

  • Based at The Green Room School in Windsor with visits to The Green Room School in Kingsley

  • Unique opportunity to be a great therapist in our brilliant team.

The Green Room Foundation runs 2 schools, one in Windsor, or GRW as it is known, and one in Kingsley, known as GRK. The schools are independent schools providing a second chance at education for young people aged 11 - 18, who have, for various reasons, found it difficult to learn in mainstream education. They all have Education Health Care Plans indicating a variety of needs, including support for their ASD, ADHD, ODD, PDA and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties. We offer a range of therapeutic care for our pupils ranging from general pastoral care, mentoring, counselling, psychotherapy, and now we are looking to add Systemic Psychotherapy to our service so we help families of our pupils.

Our school provides a broad, lively, and stimulating curriculum for our pupils ranging from English, Maths, Science, and Art. We offer a wide variety of sport, PHSE and other activities including looking after our allotment. Our pupils want to be at our schools, it is not a place they are ‘sent’. This is crucial to the culture and success of the school.

We are looking for someone who really wants to make a difference to young people’s lives; someone who wants to help them reach their potential by giving them a second chance; someone who is humble yet confident, enthusiastic yet understands the need for boundaries, and energetic yet calm. Do you want to demonstrate your own virtuosity but recognise the need for structure and systems? Can you be an extraordinary role model to pupils and staff alike? Our success is built on outstanding staff/pupil relationships and creating a safe environment for our pupils to thrive.

Take a look around our website to learn more about our schools and view the job description. If this is you, send us your CV and a covering letter explaining why to recruitment@thegreenroomschool.com.

This is a part-time position (Monday, Thursday, Friday) to start in September 2019. Salary will be commensurate with experience and expertise.

We value diversity and are committed to safeguarding and promoting child welfare. The successful candidate will be subject to DBS and any other relevant employment checks.
