As our pupil intake has increased this year we have split our pupils into vertical tutor groups. Vertical tutor groups are made up of pupils from mixed years, including 1 or 2 pupils from each year group. Research shows that schools using the vertical system report better attendance, better results, improved relationships and fewer incidents of bullying. During morning tutor pupils carry out animal husbandary, circle time and respond to current affairs. We are really optimistic that vertical tutoring will have a positive impact at GRK.
