The GRW overnight trip on February 6-7 to Avon Tyrrell’s outdoor learning venue was a tremendous success. The unique heritage site with it’s calendar house provided the opportunity to explore new challenges during outdoor activities such as Archery, Bushcraft and The High Ropes Challenge.
The list of activities at Avon Tyrrell is vast and excellent for team building and developing self confidence. The characteristic style bungalows were great accommodation for our shared living, allowing down time in the evening after activities, relaxing and watching films, playing cards and sharing laughs from the day.
For some pupils their first night away from home comforts and routine was a cultural milestone however they were full of enthusiasm to try something new, face any fears and accept the challenges placed in front of them.
