Our year 11s may not be sitting their GCSE exams this summer, but that doesn’t mean we aren't keeping them busy! Those who will be returning in September to our sixth form provision, GR6, have started an induction program at The Swan pub, where they met with external GR6 applicants for the first time. The induction program, which will run over 5 weeks, kicked off with an introduction to the history of The Swan and the school’s role within the project. Three groups then rotated through sessions which were designed to gently introduce the new group of students to each other and the staff, and their new environment. Thankfully the rains held off and many of us took our lunch in the courtyard, where the seeds of new friendships were sown over juice and sandwiches.
