Rebecca Calvert's Resilience: From Moroccan Earthquake to Fundraising
Another week and another Swan Elder. This week we welcomed Rebecca Calvert to share a recent experience that has left a lasting impact on our community, Becca shared her remarkable story of survival during the recent earthquake in Morocco. Now, she's channelling her experience into a noble cause, and we invite you to be part of it.
Rebecca's tale is one of courage and resourcefulness. She was in Morocco when the ground trembled and buildings shook. Amid the chaos, her resilience shone through.
Inspired by her firsthand experience and the strength she witnessed in the local community, Rebecca is hosting the 'Tagine Taster' fundraiser at The Swan this Saturday. It's a chance to enjoy Moroccan cuisine while contributing to earthquake relief efforts.
Our school is also stepping up to support this cause. On EPIC Thursday, we will also offer customers the option to make a donation, with all proceeds going to a nominated charity.
Becca's story teaches us that adversity can bring out the best in people.
